So what is it? - waist training / corset training / tight lacing
This is when you 'train' your body so that you can lace up your corset tighter and tighter, making your waist smaller and smaller. Done seriously, this is a process that takes, months, years even. Generally speaking, to 'train' in this way you need to wear your corset between 12 and 24 hours a day, everyday, so that your body shape slowly changes. You gradually, over time, lace your corset tighter and tighter - as you get comfortable with one size you move down half an inch and so on. Your body changes and adapts - this is noticeable as your natural, uncorseted waist size decreases. This practice is not very common these days (although was very fashionable during the Victoria era) and can be dangerous to your health unless you are sensible. My goal is to eventually get my corseted waist down to 20 inches - my uncorseted waist is currently about 27 inches.
So what is it? - my journal
I've started this journal to keep track of my progress and also as some where to rant so as not to bore my friends with corset-talk.
